There is no lodging at the Inn on Travis for the weekend of 24, 25 January. It's a reserve weekend. That also looks like a prime weekend for flights to Hickam. Check Orbitz.com for flights to San Francisco. I've seem some good prices. North Island looks dead for a reasonably timed flight for the BFB. Miramar might be a possibility. Folks around McConnell should be looking to call before the weekend of the 24th & 25th. |

Is there a Hawaii Military Lodging expert out there who knows the maximum number of days "out" that one may make reservations at ALL (or most, at least) facilities on Oahu? If so, will you share your info in response? |

The older Outriggers got either sold or re-branded a few years back to the Castle chain. The rates are quite good but the properties are a little older. They have military rates. http://www.castleresorts.com/Home/reservations |

Hmm, unless the hotels have their own emergency generators, I suppose you would be locked out during one of the long power outages like Oahu just experienced. That would be a fly in ointment! Roger in Jacksonville, FL |

Outrigger, might just have uped the price. I saw on the TV today, the press is staying in one of them while the president elect is on vacation in the area. |

Hi Brenda, I would suggest that you look at the site http://www.discounthotelshawaii.com It might take a free call to get all the info that you need but the site provides some very good discount rates and a lot of info and reviews. They have always been helpful on the phone but I would suggest that you do most of your research and then call as they are running a business. I have used them several times and have had good results and the best rates. Maybe you really want one of the Outriggers for a reason or are you looking for a specific location or amenity? You do know that there are several Outrigger Hotels? http://www.discounthotelshawaii.com has been suggested by other people on this board and I got the info about 6 or 7 years ago from a SPAT. |

Probably a mixed bag, judging from years past. Most will probably try to get rooms on HIK or Pearl, some will have reservations at the Hale Koa, and a few will take advantage of the off-base hotels such as the Outriggers, which are rumored to be offering good deals due to fewer tourists these days. |
