Nope, Don... I don't remember what we ate at Hooters, but the Mixed Grill at the Rota get together was marvelous. Wish you could get to the BFB. We'll miss ya. |

>>Hooters Huh? Do you remember what you had to eat? I know you had Mixed Grill in Rota.<< Actually, Hooters was not the first pick. We were going to eat at a Mexican place at the Landing and discovered it had been shut down by the health inspectors! I don't remember what I had at Hooters but it had to be better than toxic tacos. Phil, I'm looking forward to it as well. Roger in Jacksonville, FL |

Good for you, Roger. It will be good to see you again. If you recall, the last time was a dinner with Dirk, Jess & Elaine Hinson and Sandi and me at Hooters in downtown Jacksonville. |

Okay, Dirk and all, I have decided to try for it. I'll shoot for leaving Jacksonville on about the 23rd. Hopefully five days will be sufficient to cross the big pond. I am a shutter bug myself and will certainly do an album to share the event with others (if things work out for me to be present). Aloha and buen viaje to all. Roger in Jacksonville, FL |

Hope to attend BFB, space a god's willing. Were foster parents, currently without a baby, so the foster care god's have to cooperate as well. We were attempting to leave Rota about a week before 2008 S&S was about to start. Met a few nice folks from the board at billeting. Hope to meet more in Hawaii. |

Good morning from chilly New Mexico, BFB'ers. Twenty three degrees when we got up this morning. Sandi and Phil Doubleman hope to be joining you at the BFB this year. I got sick last year and couldn't make it. This year we're all signed up and rearing to go. Let's hear from all who plan to attend. We are sort of favoring North Island for a jumping off point. Ft. Worth looks good, but a little further to travel. Sorry to hear that you aren't going to make it, Dirk. We always look forward to seeing you. Oh well... maybe in JAX. |

Cherry, Three years ago, today, we had a freeze up while we were visiting San Diego. Fortunately, USAA covered the cost but we have been gunshy of leaving during the dead of winter. It rarely gets down below -45 F here in Fraser, the "Icebox of the Nation". Pardon if I seem to have hijacked the thread but I won't be able to attend for the aforementioned reason. We do love the Hale Koa facilities and hope you all have a good time. Regards to all and especially Doris; hope you make your flight. |

Unfortunately, it looks as if this year Tom and I will not be there, either... (He's concerned about drainage around the house and feels a need to stay here all winter to check on it.) (And this is the guy who just hates the cold!) |

Hey, howcum this thread is loading backwards? I'll see if this message goes in the #3 position, and, if so, will send an email to Dirk. |
