Did I miss something somewhere. Everybody seems to be talking about the fares on commericial airlines. Seems like a waste of money if you can go Space A.

My wife and I took a hop from Scott AFB, Illinois to Travis and caught a flight to Hickam. It was just a little inconvenient but we figured we saved at $500.

There seems to be flights going to Hawaii frequently. Free is the only way to go!

Just checked from Denver to HNL return for £261. With pound falling that would make it around $400. From Norfolk it wasn't much more, so not tooooo bad I guess. From London to there and back is another story.

Don--

Your price came up in Euro's because your computer cookies know that you are in England. My (chocolate chip) cookies know that I am in America.

Also, everything in your country is twice the cost of over here, even when you are buying tickets from Denver to HNL.

I am seriously thinking about going commercial from Jacksonville to San Diego ($99 special on Southwest) and waiting for something going west out of North Island. Going back after the event is open-ended so I will be able to wait for a good connection.

PR I checked that site, and prices come up in £'s not $'s, is it the same for you? Would be tempted, but I won't make any firm plans.

www.Kayak.com has American Airlines at $385 roundtrip Denver to HNL. Beats getting trapped at Travis. Some of the routings are thru Dallas, so it is likely that this fare is for a wide variety of other cities.

If you can Space A to the west coast, Hawaiian Airlines has a roundtrip fare for just under $420. That is for a flight leaving SFO going to HNL the last week of Jan and returning to Oakland the week of 2 Feb.

As you was.

I re-did the request looking out into January, rather than just a few days out. Best price BWI or Dulles to Hawaii is about $700 roundtrip. Still a bit more than I like, especially when two are involved, but better.
