I would have volunteered, Bud, but we are trying to catch a "popped-up" C-130 back to NI tonight.

I just got word that one of my sister's is critical and will be removed from the ventilator on Monday. Trying to get a Red Cross upgrade to Cat I. Maybe we won't need it because the flight is a pop-up with 20 seats released.

This looks like the end of our Hawaii adventure until next time.

We came to Scott yesterday to catch a C-40 scheduled to N.I. and was going to wait there for one of the flights next week. Guess what!! Todays flight was scrubbed. Will wait here until saturday(unless something pops up in the meantime) and try for a KC-10 to Travis-Hickam or the med evac to Travis.
At least the weather is much better here than northeast IN.

PR, about 6 of the passengers wanted to go to NZ, they would only manifest through to Hickam, The aircraft was loaded with duty pax and many pallets of equipment for NZ and beyond. Looks like not too many seats for space-a'ers. I will be moving to Pearl Harbor Chiefs Quarters on Saturday. for about 3 days or so.

Uncle Bud-- I would have been tempted to stay on the plane to New Zealand. Last time that I was at McChord when one went, the pax terminal supervisor said that they could/ would manifest you thru.

Hi There, Uncle Bud here, I was able to get a flight from McChord Wednesday morning, it was 0 seats firm at 2230 on Tuesday night, 5 seats firm at 0300 on Wednesday morning and finally took 15 at 0840 Wednesday morning.(full plane with passengers and much cargo for the South Pole) I'm at Hickam in the Jr Enlisted quarters for the next three nights, building 1168 room 5610, no cell phone with me this time. Will take bus downtown to Waikiki on Thursday. The rest of my crew is going to try from Whidbey to North Island then to Hickam.

"North Island has C-40's going next week to Hawaii on Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday."

I finally made it (barely, on C130 with only 3 working props) from N.I. yesterday, after hanging around San Diego for 8 days waiting on a flight to HIK. One bit of advice: even if they tell you they'll have 0 seats for a flight, show up anyway. A C40 which had shown 0 seats all week decided to take anyone who wanted to go on Monday, but the change was made right at roll call. Hardly anyone bothered to show up for it, since the PAX Reps had been so adamant that no one would be allowed on it. But, San Diego is a nice place to be temporarily stranded.

Travis doesn't sound good for the BFB.

North Island has C-40's going next week to Hawaii on Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday.

The Saturday one goes thru Whidbey.

Mike,

I was wondering, if it's not too much trouble, would you post the "In-Bound" Hickam flights also during January or at least the last 15 days.

That would be a way for the prospective BFB patrons to see from where the flights to Hickam might originate or transit.

Thanks for all you can and are doing.
