Now that the Rota S&S is past perhaps now is the time to name the thread Barefoot Bar 2010 & put it up on the main message board where new people can find it. |

Norm, you might want to build some flexibility into your travel plans in case the Travis log jam isn't broken by late January. North Island, McChord, Ft. Worth and now even Scott have missions to HIK, although none as frequently as Travis. |

Norm, as is generally the case when flying Space A, we start making lodging reservations as soon as the establishments will accept them. You can do a search for lodging or billeting in Hawaii above and you will see the threads that have been written on many SPAT trips to Hawaii. Good Luck and Enjoy |

Have the plans progressed enough that it has been decided where everybody is going stay? Possibly the Hale Koa? |

I haven't been on Pepperd site for quite a while so I am catching up on what has been going on. The trip to Hawaii sounds great and will fit really well into our schedule. Since my wife is still working until she turns 62 in 2011 we have to fit in our vacations when we can. That's what I get for marrying a young chick seven years younger then me. It will be good to get back to Hawaii. I was stationed at Pearl in 1960-62. We have been back there about 10 times since then. Hawaii never gets old to us. There is always something new to do. We will definitely plan on going. We have to travel from Scott AFB to Travis but from past experiences there shouldn't be any problems flying to Hawaii at that time. Looking forward to it especially since the temperature in Iowa in January goes to double digits below zero. Norm and Bonnie Lofting |
