Jerry the reason for this is the site has been experiencing a phenonimal amount of traffic since it came back up the other day. Along with that I sent an email to everyone that accessed the board in the past year to let them know to change their bookmarks. Then I sent out another 3000 emails to people that haven't completed their registration since the board started in it's current form in 2003.
If you happen to get the message just wait a bit then try it again.

Dirk,
I was in the “Off Topic” forum and hit the “back” button and received the following:
“One of the files required to complete this operation has been locked by another process. Please wait 5 seconds and then submit your request again. [users.txt]”
This happened 5 or 6 times. However earlier I had no problem. |

Thanks Bill, I think I got them all fixed. Just a difference in one of the file extensions that's all. Let me know if you see any more!
