After reading all of the posts here and at John D's site, we got brave enuf to take our first space A flight out of McChord on Memorial Day to Dover. It was great! We were the only passengers. We stayed at the Evergreen Inn the evening before the flight and that was terrific also. McChord does a great job, the terminal is clean, well-maintained, roomy. Dover's terminal was equally as well maintained. We stayed a couple of times at Eagle's Rest Inn there and it was also very nice. We spent four weeks on the east coast staying mostly in military lodging and enjoyed all of it. We attempted to get a space a hop out of Andrews back to anywhere on the West Coast and couldn't ever get on a flight, so flew commercial. That was NO picnic - give me space a anytime! Our last attempt at space A out of Andrews had 40 seats available to Travis, but NO CatVI's made it on. Now that school is out, it appears to be a whole different picture traveling space a. Andrews terminal needs some improvement in communication, courteousness, cleanliness! It's kind of embarrassing that this is the terminal that dignitaries route through from other countries! I'm very grateful to have had the information in hand from this site and John D's before ever attempting this journey. I was well prepared and didn't get too "fussed" when we couldn't get a flight home, had known ahead of time that could happen and had alternate plans. Thanks to everyone who posts flight schedules, provides trip reports, etc. It's really helpful for a novice to gain info on space a travel. I'm ready to give it another try, not so sure about my sponsor and - darn it!-I can't travel space a without him! Lorrie |

Have you tried to restart your computer? It worked for me once before. |

Aftere several more fruitless tries I re-wrote the durn thing and this time it did post without any problems. I have saved the text of the one that was rejected, plus the full error message with its gobbledegook at the end, just in case anyone wants to analyze either or both in an effort to figure out what was so bad and fix the glitch causing its rejection! |

Now I'm getting the same "Internal Server Error" message (that I've never seen before in the almost 5 years this particular program has been in effect) when I try to post a response to the "Ramstein to No. VA" thread in the General forum. No matter what I do it will not take my text--which, BTW, contains no fancy graphics or fonts but just typed words of wisdom! The system allowed me to post the flight schedules only a few minutes earlier. What gives? |

Having similar problems. Trying various options but I believe there's something in the text, possibly an unprintable ascii character like the backspace that is causing the problem. 73, Gary - AB9M |

And, returning to posting, the system won't let me preview / post more than about 5 lines . . . I'm ready to give up! When I post the pictures and the expanded trip report, I'll post the URL, if anyone wants to read it. |

It looks as if the system wants to limit me to 20 lines (I posted 76 in Part 1). Maybe the system read the first post, and decided that I was too boring to be allowed more than 20 lines.
So, I put up Part 2 with less than 20 lines, and can continue that way. |

I'm trying to post a second message, as a "new topic," labeled "Part 2." I typed in several paragraphs manually, and received the same message. I deleted all but the first paragraph, and received the same message. I pasted in only the first paragraph, and it appeared on the preview screen. |

See if you get the same error when you type it manually (sorry).. Which thread are you trying to update? |

I tried a short paragraph, which then showed up in the preview window. I added random text manually, which showed up in the preview window. Then, I tried to paste in another paragraph, which didn't exceed the area I had typed manually, and I got the error message. I composed it in text, using Notepad. |

I posted the first of a multi-part trip report, then have tried multiple times last night and today to post the second part. I get the following message when I activate the "Preview / Post Message" button: Internal Server Error The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request. Please contact the server administrator, webmaster@pepperd.com and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error. More information about this error may be available in the server error log. Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Apache/2.0.63 (Unix) mod_ssl/2.0.63 OpenSSL/0.9.7a mod_auth_passthrough/2.1 mod_bwlimited/1.4 FrontPage/5.0.2.2635 PHP/4.4.7 Server at pepperd.com Port 80 I have tried varying the length of the post, to see whether that's the issue, but I get the same message, even for a very short post. |
