You also will need to reset/restate your BIO information, ie. age, occupation, city, quote, etc. This is important information when helping folks travel, ie. their start point... |

Oh dopey me. I simply assumed that the "re-numbering" of my posts was the board's way of indicating the number of relevant posts I made out of the total number I made. <G> |

I think that most and perhaps all of the people who reported changes in their numbers were simply interested in alerting Dirk to (another) observed quirk in the program. Certainly for ME it's not a contest! |

RAB, I also feel that it really doesn't matter how many posts you have in your record; my guess is that it makes people feel good about it. Happy travels! |

Just noticed, the posts are back up and running. Thanks Dirk, or who ever sorted it out. I won't worry about the odd one or two. |

rinaldo, I had a thought come to me about this posting numbers loss. On Dirks new site about buying things, there is a place where if you have a discount put the number in. MAYBE if we hit certain total when posting, we get a discount on purchases. If that be the case, bet John D is really upset. He should have had enough to get at least 75% off. |

Dirk, asked me to tell everyone that he will reset their numbers so not all is lost. Just give Dirk some time to do this. He said he will fix it and not to worry. |

Add me to the list! I just was relieved of slightly more than 3000 posts. (But at least I remain a "senior member.") (For the time being, until the next round of pruning?) |

I dropped about 3,000 post as of today. Now if I could take a few years off too, that would be handy. |

Not that really make any difference to me, but it could be to others, if indeed it's happening to other posters. I did two postings today and to my surprise they were numbered 287 and 288 respectively. To my knowledge, I've made over 1,000 postings since I joined the Board. Could there be a systems problem? Thanks and happy travels! |
