Phil, I believe it's a "feature" of the board software. When a post is moved or deleted there must be a database pointer that "remembers" the author/date/time info and that info shows up in the "table of contents." Once someone adds to the thread with new info the old info is overwritten and it's back to normal. In the case of a message that is moved to another thread the author/date/time info gets transferred properly to the new location. |

dinotars, I did post in the correct forum. Thanks for jumping in with an answer that was totally inaccurate. You need to be sure that you understand the question before scolding a poster. The dates that I mentioned are posted automatically by the system and I was curious as to why the text of a dated post was missing. |

Maybe it does or maybe there is a time/date problem. I think that is the question that Phil has. The initial page for Travis indicates that Rich made an entry on the 17th. The actual string indicates that Rich made an entry on the 7th and Cindy made an entry on the 8th. Those are the last ones dated with posts. Are you telling me that someone deleted Rich's entry for the 17th. I think that Rich (maybe a different Rich-Richcat6???)was on the beach in Hawaii on the 16th and plans on being at the BFB activities and was probably not at Travis on the 17th. The name situation was very similar but I can not find the string right now. The "lead in" page indicated an entry by either you or Dino but there was not an entry in the actual post page. Again are you indicating that post was deleted and so it did not show but it was on the lead in page. I will look for that post tomorrow and hope to find it again. Maybe more posts are being deleted that we realize. |

Dakota, Occasionally, someone posts a message that is removed. When that happens the last poster's name stays associated with the thread but their message has either been deleted or moved to another thread in another Forum. The last time reference may also remain with the thread title when the post is moved. Does that help explain? |

Phil, I agree with you about the dates and I observed it on several other posts. There have also been errors in the last poster when the indicated last poster had no entry on that string. Dino-Your statement may be true but it is not a factor in the dates that Phil has addressed. The dates are not typically entered by the poster and are automatic including the ones indicated by Phil. |

This forum is for reporting "Problems with the Message Board".The Last Catagory Moved forum is entirely dependent on individuals who are present in a terminal observing and reporting on the number and categories of pax who are selected and moved at a specific time on a specific flight. Those posts are not made by designated volunteer flight posters, but are made and by pax who wish to do so, and are appreciated by visitors to this board.Board members who are at terminals and wish to do the posting of their observations are under no requirement to do so. |

The "Last Category Moved" thread shows Travis' last post on 01-17-10. The "Travis" thread shows January 08, 2010 as the last post. What's up. |
