I got out on KC 10 to Travis March 30th. First of 2 KC 10s with 65 seats headed to Travis that day. Got on first one and it had 10-15 empty seats. 2nd KC 10 must have been empty. My broke KC 10 had received the fix-it parts and should have left next day(one I was manifested on)
3 KC 10s with 65 seats each leaving for Travis in 2 days clears a lot of folks.

Thomas, Mike was stuck here on the 29th of March. To my knowledge nobody is stuck here now.

Forgot to add that the April flights are the 23rd and 25th instead of the third weekend. Tom

Elmendorf to Travis. Check the flight to Davis Mothan on 4/23. There should be a flight on 4/25 from D-M to Travis ( reserve KC10 goes home to Travis the first and third weekends)

We were "stuck" at Elmendorf for a week in january on our way to Thailand. As it turned out we enjoyed our stay very much. Of course it was cold but no snow and most days were only partly cloudy. We were able to get billeting and every meal was available at the beautiful mess hall(dining facility to you younger folks). We rented a car from Avis for about $26.00 per day and got out and
explored the area. Just another viewpoint.

Yes I did get billeting. Billeting was readily available early in the week but they had none later. I didn't give up my room until after being selected for my flight. Turned out to be a good move. It was interesting tho because I was stationed at Elemendorf 1962 and 1963. Couldn't believe that my old barracks was still there

"good choice. Between Elmendorf and Yokota, I would have done the same."

Me too! I can't imagine a much worse place to be stuck than Elmendorf in the winter time. I hope Roger was able to at least get a room at Billeting while he was stuck there.

Since you are now manifested to Travis on the flight which was diverted to Elmendorf for maintenance, you may wait for that aircraft to continue to Travis. If you do not wish to wait for the completion of that aircraft's repair, you could take advantage of an other fight and compete for selection using your Elmendorf sign up.Do not surrender your original boarding pass until you are assured of selection on any flight you wish to consider.

another flight and I am signed up at Elmendorf too. 47 days on signup list so good there. Concern is troops here are on what is called "block leave" so seats may be competitive when you are Cat VI. Active duty here want to go on leave to lower 48 but there is a Hickam flight too so maybe they will all be trying for that. Would love to be through manifested to Travis but I don't think that is the case

Are you referring to another flight from Elmendorf to Travis with 65 seats, and not the one you were manifested on to Travis? Are you signed up at Elmendorf?

Question: I was spat on flight Yokota to Travis that was diverted to Elmendorf because of hydraulic leak. Part is ordered for the broke KC 10 but not here yet and who knows when it will be fixed. I know I am manifested on that if it ever moves but I am wondering if I have any priority on the flight with 65 seats to Travis tommorow with the boarding pass marked Travis. I doult it but maybe someone knows a way.???
