I'm going to try for the May 10th Pat-Ex flight to Yakota. I know that the Show time is 2025 and that the flight leaves early the next morning (11May), but does anyone know the approximate arrival time in Yakota? I haven't taken the Monday flight yet, and would like to have some idea about the arrival time/day. Thanks all... Tim

Larrissa,
The stated rollcall for space-a passengers on the Seattle Patriot Express to Misawa is held on Saturday nighat at 2330 for a Sunday morning departure.

You should be inplace, and marked present about an hour ahead of sched roll just to be safe. This info is posted in the SEATAC USO, and on the window of the small office the AF uses when they are at the airport (note, that office is only open on fly nights) That office is located on the mezanine deck of the airport just South of the USO, which is also on the mezanine.

Further details may be available by calling the McChord terminal which actually mans the SEATAC office on fly days.

Larissa,

You can get the exact time by calling the McChord terminal. I have been told before, I just can't remember the exact time.

The roll call for the flight to misawa from seattle could you tell me if it is after 11? I know there was a reply that said the roll call was very late on saturday night, but I am trying to book a flight to seattle and the latest flight arrives to seattle on 10:50 but I want to make sure I can still make the roll call

Larrissa: Thanks for your response which means that Cat. 6s can get off the flight at Misawa. I can answer the questions about Kunsan and Osan as I landed at both bases last year--assuming that things are the same now. You will be stamped in/out of country at the terminal as the S. Korean immigration rep. is there. I have flown in/out of Osan three times and Kunsan once, and there was no problem as there could be in Japan. So if the Saturday flight to Misawa is your choice and you are going to Misawa or S. Korea, immigration appears to be no problem. Of course, the other SEATAC flights land in Yokota/Kadena where in country processing is available.

I thought this might help some of the non sofa residents wanting to fly here to misawa.

Nonsofa residents flying on the patriot express to misawa, once you get to misawa on monday you will have to turn in your passport to the security forces and are not allowed to leave the base. On tuesday the custom officer from aomori will come to misawa on base to stamp your passport. Therefore on tuesday you will have to go and pick up your passport from security forces and then go to the terminal to get your passport stamped.

Postscript.
Last night's projected seats for the next three SEATAC departures are always subject to change, frequently by the hour. Based on that projection, you may see slim pickins for seats on the Mon/Wed flights.

Lester,
One minor correction to my original post. I only know the West bound routing.
Roll calls at SEATAC are Monday evening (Tue departure to Yokota/Osan/Kunsan), Wednesday night late (Thur departure to Yokota/Iwakuni/Kadena), and Saturday night very late (Sun departure for Misawa/Osan).
Based on my previous experience, you will chose your destination when you check-in. If you choose an intermediate location, that is where your ride ends. Your bags will be checked to that location.
I'm assuming that host destination bases have made arrangements for Japanese/Korean immigration/customs to inprocess departing pax. You would not normally be allowed to deplane at an inroute location for the purposes of getting stamped into country, then stand anothor roll for the same plane, and reboard for onward flight to another country. Administratively, they don't have enough time to do that. Remember, the intermediate locations have pax waiting, and probably already process for departure on the flight you come in on. Thru pax will probably deplane at all intermediate locations, but will be put in a holding area while the acft is serviced.
Maybe someone down range at Misawa, Iwakuni, Osan, and Kunsan can elaborate on this process.

Are you talking about this saturday as in TODAY or the 10th? Does this route go to Kadena? I am going to be trying to get to Kadena sometime shortly after the 8th and would like to have many plans.
Thanks

Bill: If you know, on the Saturday flight which seems to be the best one to take for Space A chances, if one is heading to Japan and not Osan, can we get off the flight at Misawa to get stamped in country or do we have to stay with the return leg of the flight to the States when it stops at Kadena? On the return leg, does the flight also stop at Yokota?

On the same topic, if one leaves on the other SEATAC flights, is there enough time on the Rotator to get stamped in at Yokota and then continue on the same flight to Iwakuni and deplane? If not, can we get stamped in at Iwakuni? Thanks

Thanks for the update William. I suspect that there are a lot of "spring break" travelers right now, but also, you have to remember that they don't know the true seat release until the last AD passenger checks in his/his family at the counter. But this time of year (spring break) it's always a crap shoot! Tim

I spoke to the pax rep at McChord tonight ref possible seats on the next three Patriot Express flights out of SEATAC. This Sat showtime has about 130 open seats, Monday has only 7 and Wed has only 6. So, if you aim to fly to Misawa and Osan, this Sat might by a good one to try for. This is the start up week for the additional third flight. Maybe they just haven't had time to fully book all seats yet. If you are trying for the Tokyo area, and points South, it looks like the Mon Wed flts are pretty well booked up, at least for next week.
