Allison,

Whoever told you your letter is only good for 90 days or one round trip is probably confusing it with a Command (or non Command) Sponsor letter - those are valid for 90 days. Deployment verification letters (as Bob stated) are valid for the duration of the deployment (multiple trips) - assuming they followed the proper format and include the correct info.

The official memos explaining the above are (as Bob referenced) located in the Space-A FAQ - I suggest you download and print to carry with you for reference in case you need to share the info with other Pax Reps.

Allison, Your letter will be good for the time defined on the letter. The 60 Days they are discussing is the signup time at the passenger terminal you are trying to fly from. It would be good for you to review John D's space a pages (link at the top of this screen) to become familiar with all the requirements.

I have a question then. I'm flying from the UK to the east coast in about a two weeks. I'm also CAT 4 with my sponser deployed, I was told that my letter is good for 90 days or one round trip.

So Will it only be 60 days once I sign up in the states? Or 60 days from the date of my letter, or will mine be okay the whole 90?

LT, what location(s) are you signing up at? Most Navy non-AMC locations have a 45 day limit.

Make sure you have a space a verification letter (signed by the SM CO) and bring a print out of the memo with you. The moderator has already given you a link to find these.
Another tip I found was: Email the AFB Nearest to you, they usually have a space-a email link for questions.

I had a disagreement with a terminal employee regarding Dependent travel while sponsor is deployed.
I said that they may fly anywhere. It does not have to be to meet their sponsor. It can be ANYWHERE.
They said that it had to be to meet the sponsor!
Where can I get this info that is in print to show them????
THX
