Pete, Don't count on Andrews in that time frame. There is a big air show at Andrews that weekend. May 14 - 16 |

Welcome aboard, Pete! Here's another tip (since you asked) -- Andrews AFB has frequent flights to Charleston (as you can verify by looking at the Andrews thread on the Flight Schedules forum) and they're usually large aircraft with plenty of available seats. So if it turns out that McGuire doesn't have any direct missions when you want to go, consider the alternative to just waiting and hoping: hopping to Andrews (if possible) and then to CHS from there. |

Cutting myteeth over the next 10 days w/McGuire-Charleston-McGuire. Objective is to get to Hilton Head for family gathering Fri-Sat 5/14-15. (Yup, I understand that I cannot rely on SPAT to get me there.) Questions: * Is an intermediate stop at McChord both ways a reasonable, if long-way-'round, strategy? * Are there Wi-Fi &/or ethernet ports at major AMC terminals that can be used for keeping in touch with Space-A resources (not the least of which, Pepperd.com)? * Any other tips for an inaugural SPAT? I _have_ read various FAQs and have at least completed and verified Space-A Requests for a number of departure points. Thx. |
