Wanted to update everyone the terminal did open an hour before showtime this morning-ended up not taking anyone. Terminal has new hours 0600-2200. Ended up on a 9am flight that only had 6takers and 50 seats were empty-currently delayed for maintaince. pax reps were very helpful and thanks to all who replied |

According to the Spangdahlem AMCGRAM (available at JohnD's SpaceA Pages, link above left) the operating hours are:
Mon-Fri 0700- 1900,
Sat 0800-1900
Sun/German Holidays 1200-1900
Most terminals will open up (if show time is beyond normal operating hours) half hour to an hour before show time. Hang in there. John |

Normally terminals open shortly before early morning show times. Spang, however, makes no mention of this on their web page at
http://www.spangdahlem.af.mil/library/factsheets/factsheet.asp?fsID=13148
In fact, they go out of their way to make it clear that they do not "advertise" flights beyond their normal operating hours.
Their telephone announcement also makes no mention of opening for early flights.
You may be stuck. Anybody with actual experience with late or early flights at Spang?

We are attempting an early am flight out of here and the terminal is closed. Does the terminal open up around the time the flight will be heading out or do we just have to wait until 6am and try for flights after 6? Currently we are sitting outside the terminal just waiting to see any help would be appriciated. Thanks! |
