Some interesting comments. Jim Hunt: You are spot on! It's true...some folks here really do get uptight about rules and regulations. This is a volunteer Space "A" forum board, not the CIA. Let's all enjoy the benefits this board offers and be flexible to one or two mistakes that someone may make. So what if someone asks a silly question, my take is to answer the question and then very kindly and gently direct them to the right area. To DBM UK and DBM UK, Jr...my heart goes out to you and your family. May your mother/grandmother recover and continue enjoying all she can. |

Hey, Dirk, your "board police" got a little carried away on this one. Some of them need to stop taking themselves so seriously. And someone definitely owes this family a very public apology. Just sayin'... |

To set the record straight. When I got the call from the RED CROSS saying my Mother had a stroke, and was needed, I did send Nelly a e-mail asking him to pick up the posting. He is the #1 backup. I am a friend of Vic and knew he was on a road trip. I didn't ask my Son to pick up the posting, as I knew it would be time to go fishing. Chris did ask me if he should post while I was gone. I told him he would have to use my password to log in. (like he said, I trust him) I can't see anywhere he posted anything other that what Dirk has set out in his rules and regulations. His only down fall was putting his Jr on the end. Since it is hard to get a connection in the hosp, I haven't been able to follow the board like I normally do. I would like to thank all the board members who has supported myself and Chris. I want to thank you for thoughts and prayers. Mom is holding her own at the moment. At 96 what can you expect, but she is like the energizer bunny. |

Chris, We appreciated your efforts to post the Mildenhall schedule in your Dad's place. Just wish you had left the "jr" off. Anyway you did a great job. Maybe you should apply for the poster for Mildenhall. Take care and I hope your Grandmother does well with her recovery. Being a retired nurse, I know they can do some great recovery work with stroke patients these days. |

Chris, thanks for your efforts. As I mentioned in an email to your dad, your family is in our prayers. That said, you should not have tweaked the display name. What they don't know won't hurt them Not that I would advocate such a subterfuge of course. |

Chris, The overlandrover account looks fine from what I can tell. If experiencing login problems you can try the Password/Registration Self Help link on the main page to see if that rectifies the problem. All the best for your Grandmother's recovery. |

Good evening everyone. My name is Chris Miller, son of Don Miller. As you have probably gathered, Don Miller (DBM UK) is in the USA at the moment, tending to my sick grandmother. He didn't have time to contact Nelly or Connie before he left, so I volunteered to post the Mildenhall Flight Information in his absence. I have posted Flight Information a long time ago, under my "Don_Millers_Son" username and the now defunct "overlandrover_jr" username. However, since the restrictions were introduced, I have not been able to post for MHZ. I originally contacted Dirk and dinotars to be granted permission to post for MHZ. I only recieved a response from Dirk saying he was on a cruise, and I haven't heard from anyone else since. Rather than wait to be granted permission, I used the initiative my father instilled in me, logged-on using my his details (he trusts me!) and I picked-up where he left off. Perhaps unwisely, I tweaked his display name as "DBM UK jr" to make the distinction that it wasn't my dad posting. The username is still "overlandrover". The posting below on this thread (Monday 8:23pm) is actually from my father. Owing to time differences and internet access limitations, I haven't discussed this Message Board situation with my father (he's had better things to worry about). My last MHZ Flight Information posting was at 9:00pm on Monday evening. Since then, I have not been able to log in using "overlandrover" username and associated password. Can someone please tell me if the account has been disabled? Would anybody like me to continue posting for MHZ, or shall I try and get hold of Nelly and/or Connie? BTW, there's no flights scheduled from MHZ at the moment!! - |

Please let's consider that whatever posters do on this board, be it flight schedules or regular postings, is for the benefit of all and what makes it more interesting is that it's a voluntary thing; we go out of the way to serve and help others. Therefore, I think we all, especially the leaders of the Board, should be a bit more sensitive towards the feelings of others. Let's all be human, for God's sake! Happy travels! |

Nice words, Carole. Thank you! I think I was confused...is DBM UK Jr the son of DBM UK? I guess that makes sense now. Yes, let's all have some respect, be nice, and hope for the very best for DBM UK's mother. I trust that would be DMB UK Jr's grandmother? Am I on course here. Anyway...my best to all of them. |

Let's just all cool down. Our attention needs to be focused on Don and his Mom. Dinotars has a job to do, it just wasn't the right time or venue to do it. Nobody meant any disrespect , I'm sure. Tomorrow is another day. Let's look ahead. |
