I'm a new Space A traveler and will be trying the McChord to Hickam route when I get back from Afghanistan next month. I will have about 30 days flexibility.
Do I have to wait until I'm on leave to sign up or can I sign up with an approved leave form? Is it possible to travel from McChord to Travis and then on to Hickam?

Kirk,
I currently post for McChord, and can see they are forcasting a flight to Hawaii in the PM this Friday. Keep checking as thing frequently change. Several things to remember:
1. No guarantee this flight will take passengers. (Scheds freq change)
2. You can't sign up for the flight until you are officially on leave, and
3. You need to sign up at Hickam for the return flight at the same time you sign up at McChord. (use email and keep a record copy).

Kirk Welcome to the board!
You need to orient yourself to all the information at the top of this page. McCord AFB does not have regular flights to Hawaii and nothing is scheduled. All flights are on some sort of mission for cargo or whatever so that varies.
Good luck on your weekend trip. You can look at Travis if McCord doesn't have any flights. Just be advised that trying for a weekend trip to a popular flight destination may result in disappointment.

First time using Space-A, as well as this message board. I am planning on taking my wife to Hawaii for her Birthday this weekend from McChord to Hickam. Not sure if McChord has a regular flight or not. Has anyone taken this route this year that could help me out. Thx |
