Pr, Correct, I can change the Subject Line (and I have done so many times) in addition to fixing spelling errors (to make searches more accurate at a later date). As an example, I already changed the Norfolk Ground Transportation Subject Line. It would be better if folks put some thought into the Subject Lines when posting the initial message instead of relying on me to fix it after the fact. It's simple message board etiquette and it means less work for moi! Agree? |

John D., if you as a moderator have the ability to edit the subject line, then you should go ahead and do it. You could put a more descriptive title after the broader, original title. This will only become worse with the summer travel of new board users. |

Recent Subject Line examples of what Roger is referring to: "Travel" should be something along the lines of "Need help from Ramstein to McChord" "Ground Transportation" (in the Ground Transportation Forum) - changed it to "Ground transportation from Airport to Norfolk NAS" Again, please try and provide a hint (even a small one) of the nature of the thread by using a more descriptive Subject Line. p.s. for the "board police" complainers out there, this is a friendly request - not another set of rules that you "have to" follow. |

This is an appeal, especially to the newer folk, to give a hint of the nature of the question or comment in the subject line when they post. A generic "Please Help Me" or "Question" does not establish the topic very well and would be useless as a search word. "Dependent Eligibility" or "Dover to McChord" would probably elicit more responses since it attracts the eye of someone with knowledge about that. Happy travels, Roger in Jacksonville, FL |
