Thank you. We are hoping to catch the hop back to Rickenbacker from Nellis on June 10. My husband went over to the PAX terminal the other day and talked to the rep he said they only allow signups a week prior. Which is nice as my husbands leave starts around that time frame. It will be so nice to get back home its been nearly 2 years and my husband is actually not deployed this summer. So looking forward to a trip. And praying for a good hop! lol Thank you once again. |

Jared/Susan, Meg is 100% right. No space-a pax can be guaranteed a return flight -- instead, they must compete with everyone else who is trying to get on at the return flight's departure point. That is what the rules say. BUT...on occasion this has not worked the way it's supposed to -- the crew may arrange special privileges for the people they want to take back with them (e.g., tell the AMC desk they have only X number of space-a seats available because they have saved out Y number for their personal pals) and some may even give the privileged ones a private number to call to get inside info on departures, and/or arrange to board them at a different location on the field. This does not happen very often (we THINK!) but it can. If you believe there may be similar hanky-panky going on, ask to speak to an AMC supervisor and hope that will ensure that the rules are properly implemented. |

We have found a flight back east but our question is: They are hopping from Ohio and going back a few days later. There are 20 seats but will the people who flew here on the hop to begin with have first priority going back? Thanks for all the great advice! Susan |
