If you are on orders you have to pay the driver and the military reimburses you on your travel voucher. That bus that runs from Heathrow to Mildenhall is supposedly free. It only runs on the weekends though. When my husband and I PCS'd to Mildenhall a couple months ago they did charge us but Im told they only charge if you are on orders and its free if you are just on vacation. Also, its about 2 1/2 hours FYI.
