Jimmy do you know how I can download the CAC reader software for my laptop. The unit issued me a CAC reader for use while traveling but, didn't give me any direction on how to obtain the software. Thanks |

As the base computer guy, I can tell you that nearly every pax terminal (by AMC order) has publicly available computers with a commercial internet connection (i.e. not on the base network). The majority of these also have CAC readers, so that you can log into CAC-restricted sites such as OWA (to check your AF email) and JOSAC. These CAC readers aren't required, so each PAX terminal may or may not have this feature. I know that doesn't answer your question 100%, but that's what I know. I also know that the majority of base libraries have CAC readers on their public computers. |

Try the Single Mobility System (SMS) available through US Transportation Command. |

I hope this is the correct forum for my questions. I'm retired USAF working as a gov't contractor. My job requires that I have a military computer access card (CAC), which is quite useful for checking the JOSAC site for CONUS flights. I've got two questions: JOSAC lists flights only within CONUS. Does anyone know if there is a comparable .mil site which lists OCONUS flights? Second: might it be possible, while traveling Space-A, to gain access to a military computer where I could use my CAC (perhaps in a pax terminal, or in military lodging)? Has anyone tried this? Thanks in advance. Heli-Gator |
