I have been told, the base taxi would rather take people to Sacramto, rather than Oakland or SF.

We(3) flew commercial from Sacramento to Honolulu last month and it was actually cheaper there than out of Oakland or San Fran. I think it was $300 a person and they were purchased only one day in advance.

San Francisco is your 3rd closest airport, but I've been finding the cheapest fares from there. I'm about to hop out of Hickam (my home) for a week, and then going to try to hop back home. I'm planning all of my contingency backups, and commercial tickets out of the bay area back to Honolulu are best prices out of SFO.

Be advised: I spent today calling around to several different airlines... most of them are booked for the next few days (I need 4 tix), and filling fast. It's that travel time - kids are out for the summer, graduation presents, all that jazz.

The closest airport is Sacramento being about 45 miles from Travis. Or Oakland about 45-50 miles from Travis.

My children and I will be flying cat 4 from Dover to Hickam, through Travis. I know it will be hard getting a flight from Travis to Hickam. So I am wondering what the closest commercial airport is to Travis incase I decide to dish out the $ for commercial. Thanks in advance!!
