I was fortunate enough once to fly from Wright Patt to Whiteman in MO, and took public transportation from there. The other times I have gone to McConnell were from Hickam. Once I had a direct flight into McConnell, and the other time I took a flight from Hickam to Forbes Field in KS. FWIW, do not fly into Forbes unless it is a last resort. There is no easy way of getting out of there. Very few Space A opportunities, no commercial airport, no rental cars, etc. I had to take a taxi to downtown and wait outside the gas station where Greyhound has a ticket counter. Well, the bus showed up but the ticket counter never opened. Bus driver will take your license as collateral and you get it back when you pay for the ticket in Wichita bus station. |

Live at WP and have never seen one.
But, could be a stray, rare, C-21 flight. And have never seen one of those either to McConnell |

I don't remember ever seeing a flight between those two bases. There are rarely flights to McConnell from anywhere. |

Has anyone any idea if there are direct flights between these two AFBs and how often they run if they are regular flights? This would be our first attempt at SpaceA after years (and I mean years)of trying to pluck up the courage to try it. Thanks |
