You would have to check the schedule, which Norfolk terminal will provide a month out. From there you can get a rentacar for about a three hour drive to Patrick. Jax has a nice Gateway Inn if you want to wait until Wednesday to drive down. We are going to get there on Wednesday afternoon for the mini get together before the cruise. I have to get another count from Cheryl next week but right now looks like there are almost 20 cabins booked! Looks like the email worked out pretty well. If you are still working on booking let me know so I can get an updated count. If you were waiting to see if "anyone else was going to go", we now have more than twice the size of the crowd from 3 years ago!   John D. We have a few stories ourselves!!! Hope Barry Cantor might be willing to give some guidance and tips on billeting. Our biggest issue is getting "stuck somewhere" just waiting for a flight! Lack of transportation on foreign bases makes it a stressful scenario. Dirk Pepperd....bet you could go on and on on the Space A subject!!! Hope you will share things with the group. A side note: Until we received your email regarding the Reunion Cruise, we weren't even aware of it!!! So making it known earlier on might be a focus for next time. I spoke to Cheryl this morning and booked it. She mentioned that someone is trying to get a block of rooms on base for May 12th. That would be perfect for us. We look forward to meeting everyone and learning more about Space A travel. We took the family on a hop to Hawaii in 1991 and it worked great. She is one person and our cruise is not the only thing she is working on. Last yr along, she sold a few hundred thousand dollars worth of tours/cruises/travel arrangements. She has been doing this for many years which is why we have such high confidence in her ability to give us top-notch customer service. I know for a fact she was out of the office Monday and part of last Friday for personnel reasons. Also, for those of you who have never visited the Patrick AFB ITT office, you should know....When Cheryl or her colleauge are with a customer (and that can take up to 30 minutes) they do not answer the phone..it goes to voicemail. How would you feel if you were sitting there and every 5 minutes, the agent told you to stop talking while she answered phone?? So, I promise you, she will get back to you as soon as she can. She checks her email and phone messages constantly and deals with her walk-in customers as they come in. Please be patient. And remember....Dirk, Cheryl and I set this cruise up last year. I paid my fees 6 or more months ago. Those who are now trying to get in at the last minute must pay the fees to get the good rates and best cabins by 10 March. The rates have been hiked a small amount by Carnivale cruise lines beginning 22 March (as previously noted by another board member). And now the crush of last minute folks is time-consuming and a little overwhelming. Please be patient and I promise you, Cheryl will get back to you. Each and everyone of you deserves full and patient attention. I've known Cheryl a long time and she treats every one of her customers with patient, kind and full attention. That's my 4 cents worth. I'm going along with my wife. I know there are a number of other people that are also going but are waiting. DON"T WAIT!!! The more rooms we can booked now the better freebies we can get. I'm going to do an email promotion late this week so we can get some more people signed up.
