I wasn't able to get management to agree to early booking. But, we are now in the window for advanced reservations on a 1st come, 1st served for next month. You can call 321-494-5428 to make reservations for the night before the cruise. As I write this, there are BOQ rooms for $39/night and enlisted rooms for $34.75/night. We have alot more enlisted than BOQ's. Realize we do our space a based upon our occupancy. The more folks who call in, the higher the occupancy rating goes. So those who call now can do reservations 30 days out. When it rises above 65%, then its 14 days in advance. Moral of the story:....the early bird gets the worm !!!! |

THAT'S GREAT INFO BARRY, BUT DO YOU RECOMMEND THE HOTEL INT'L PALMS RESORT AND CONVENTION CENTER, COCOA BEACH? AND, WHEN THE TIME COMES PUT MY WIFE AND I DOWN FOR THE FIRST BUS AT ABOUT 11 AM TO THE CRUISE SHIP. THE LINE HAS EMBARCATION TIMES AS 12:30 TO 2:30 PM FOR YOUR INFO, AND THEY TELL ME THERE WILL BE FOOD AVAILABLE AFTER BOARDING. |

The international Palms was the "Holiday Inn Resort" a few months ago. The hotel was sold and the new owners did not have a contract with Holiday Inn. It is a large hotel with a few hundred rooms, right on the beach. For those who have not been to Patrick AFB or the Space Coast...don't mix up the place names of the cities. Cocoa FL is on the mainland. Cocoa Beach is on the outer peninsula. There are 2 peninsulas off the coast of FL. The inner one is called "Merritt Island". There's no official name for the other. Route A1A goes north-south on the outer one next to the Atlantic Ocean. |

Barry, The $47 rate is via Easyclicktravel.com. The actual rate is $42.50 plus the taxes you mentioned. I called the hotel today and confirmed that we have space. I understand is right on the ocean. As of this post, space is available. Easy Click has an issue with the city, so be careful you select Cocoa Beach, FL, USA. There is not space in the listing Cocoa Beach, Cocoa Beach, FL USA. |

Suggestion was made to have a back up in case we cannot stay on base after the May 12 party. I just booked a room at the Days Inn in Satellite Beach for $65 including all taxes. You can drop the rate $5 if you want to have a no refund policy. Room includes breakfast. Go to www.wyndhamrewards.com for info. |
