Shipboard illness is like a plane crash. You only hear about it when it happens not when it doesn't. There are hundreds of cruises that go out every week with no incident. There is no reason to draw any conclusion that there may be such and incident. I'm not a statistician but would be willing to say the chances are minimal at best. |

Thanks Dirk. I'm sure this will also be covered at the Wednesday get together. By the way, our cruise passengers might be interested in a web site re a ship board gastrointestinal diesase that could crop up on our cruise. The site is www.cda.gov, I found it on my aol home page. |

Between Barry, Cheryl and myself, we will come up with a designated location to catch the shuttle along with a schedule. Barry is in the UK for a few days and I will be talking with him when he gets back. We will keep everyone posted through this thread and the web page in the upcoming weeks before the cruise. |

After reading all the Terms & Conditions forget it! It does include Port Charges and there are no Booking Fees but add Taxes & Other Fees. The stateroom upgrade is only for the same stateroom type and doesnot apply for a cancellation and rebooking with Carnival; also, not valid with group bookings. Sorry, my first time crusing. Nice try. Dan P.S. There are several VOQs and a VAQ at Patrick AFB. Which one or more will the bus to the port leave from? And, is there a schedule yet since it will make several trips? |

$292.52 is the "inside cabin" rate with all taxes and fees included through Travelocity. No ship board credit. |

Dan, Here's the thing about the Travelocity.com rate. I'm sure if you look a little deeper you will find that it DOES NOT include port charges, taxes, a $75 per cabin shipboard credit, or any of the other amenities like our own meeting area with coffee and danish. Call travelocity and talk to them Dan. Let us know what they say. If they can match everything for that price let us know. |
