Being the thrifty person I am, I prefer flying out of my local base (McGhee Tyson) but they very rarely go to Travis. Hickam flight was on the schedule for 18 April so I figure it is easier to get to Travis from there than anywhere else. Flew out of MT at 10am local and had a wonderful (non-eventful) flight to Hawaii. We arrived somewhere around 1pm local to a beautiful day in Hawaii. Checked out the flight schedules and there was a C5 to Travis with 1810 roll call. Made a quick trip to the BX and then made the roll call for Travis. Plenty of seats on the C5, and 25 SPATS onboard. We arrived at Travis at 0500 Monday, which just so happens to be 24 hrs from the roll call at McGhee Tyson. Not bad for me, 24 hrs total trip time and I am safe at my destination.
