The flt I was on from Langley to Peterson was a very unusual event. I would look to Scott or Andrews for the most flts to Peterson. I did check and it does look like there are three flts per day from Langley to Davis AAF At.0830/1340/1835 with show time one hour before.
These flts seem to originate at Davis

yes...frequent multi flights per week day, depends on duty reqmts. Flights approx ~0700 & ~1700 (begin and end of business day).

Ft Belvoir (Davison US Army Airfield, DUSAA) to Langley AFB and/or NAS Norfolk. Sometimes called/known as Pentagon-Tidewater duty shuttle. Very quick/short turbo prop ride. Bag limit 30#.

Call DUSAA Air Ops for next day flight schd after ~1600 hr. [Mon? Call on Fri] Ph (703) 806-7225.

Langley terminal is small. PSA office is on 2nd floor in different building (arrive early to find it). Langley Ops/PAX, (757) 764-2504 / -4311.

Norfolk (LP-1) loads/unloads across the field from AMC PAX terminal.

[for SPAT training purposes] See John D's Space A pages (top left) for Norfolk (LP-1) ph #.

Great trip report. We are always looking for ways to get from Charleston to Colorado Springs to see our daughter. We haven't had good luck getting out of Andrews to Peterson.

I might be wrong but I thought I heard 3 x per day 5 days a week. Info about locations that close Pax Reps on weekends is really hard to get for Monday and Tuesday flights. Peterson and Langley are this way and getting info from the ops is frequently difficult. Best way is to find the source of incoming flts or the destination of outgoing flts and see what they can tell you

PS. It's the 30 lbs bags type planes and sometimes it goes to NOB Norfolk. Not the AMC termial but the small VIP terminal.

William, thanks for the useful report. One question. You said " Langley has 3 flts a day to Davis AAF at Ft. Belvoir VA. " Do you mean three a week?

I planned to travel from Andrews to Peterson AFB (Colorado Spgs) on Space A to visit my new granddaughter. We were in Richmond VA for our grandson’s 1st birthday. Plan A was to take the Greyhound from Richmond to DC then Green line to end and bus or taxi to Andrews on Sunday April 18th. Made a reservation at lodging for 3 days starting on the 18th planned to try for flight to Peterson or Scott since Scott also has flights to Pederson. Andrews had a flt to Pederson on the 18th but I could not get there soon enough so I started calling around and found that Scott had a large type AC going to Langley AFB in Hampton VA. On Monday then to Offutt and Peterson. Pax reps at Langley closed on weekends so could get nothing about availability or departure time but the only other flts were several on Monday from Andrews to Scott all arriving at Scott to late to catch the two Monday flts to Peterson. Since Scott showed nothing on Tuesday or Wednesday I had my wife drop me at Langley on the way home. Langley had lodging, the office is a long way from the VOQ but we had our car so that was not a problem. Stopped at the Shopette and bought a TV dinner and TV breakfast. The VOQ was old but clean and only a ¼ mile from the Pax Terminal on the very nice base map provided by the lodging office.
Left lodging early the next morning for the short bag drag to the Pax Terminal but when I got there I could not find it. Asked a couple of people who said they thought it was inside the large black hanger nearby but I could not find a way in. Finally a lady who worked in the hanger unlocked a side door and took me to the office where the Pax Reps were. I was told the other end of the hanger had a small sign and an open door. The Pax Reps confirmed that there was a seat for me on a C 40 and manifested me through Offutt to Peterson. Then they drove me to base ops where there was a small waiting area with seating and a coffee pot. Langley has 3 flts a day to Davis AAF at Ft. Belvoir VA. These are small jets and turbo props. I was told there is usually space available on these and it is a good way to get to or from the DC area from Norfolk.
At 1200 a 737 rolled up painted white and blue with “UNITED STATE OF AMERICA” on the side. This was my C40; it was part of the Air Force executive service. There was a 4 star general and his staff going to Offutt for a conference and I was the only other Pax. The C40 had about 40 leather 1st class type seats and a couple of sofas in the center section. The General and his staff were in Class A blue uniforms. It was good to see our military in something other than BDUs for a change. I sat next to a Colonial and had a nice chat. We were given choice of coffee or soda and watch the movie Avatar on the way to Offutt. I had been calling lodging at Peterson and was told they were overbooked but they did have DV quarters, but could not release them to a non DV until 1600.
I was the only pax on the leg from Offutt to Peterson and had a chance to talk with the flt crew. The cabin attendants were dressed in beautiful dark blue 3 piece suits and the one lady was dressed in a lovely matching dark blue dress with a white scarf. I thought they might be contract or civilian employees but found out they were enlisted Air Force. The Pilots were two majors in Class A blue uniforms; one was actually a full time reservist. The plane and crew were stationed at Scott where they have 3 executive service C40s and one more ordered. They also have 3 C9 executive ACs.
Landed at Peterson at 1800 called lodging and got the DV suite for $53.00. The crew RONed and I caught a short ride to the lodging office with them. The DV quarters turned out to be a restored historic home that had been on the land purchased for the base. It was beautifully decorated, had a living room with a wet bar and TV, dining room, full kitchen, 1&1/2 baths a bedroom and a dressing room with a makeup table, chair and makeup mirror. They called it the General’s Quarters. I only wish my wife had been along to share this incredible luxury treatment. Having been totally spoiled it was back to reality in the morning when I rented a compact car from Enterprise for $170 for a week from the base office. After a nice drive to Steamboat Spgs I got my first sight of my 3 month old latest granddaughter.
