Dirk, it does not seem to be excessive length that causes the program to refuse to post something and instead give the dreaded "error" message. (I presume that's what you're referring to when you write of the computer "crashing.")

I have had that happen with a fairly short message.

It also does not seem to matter whether you write your text directly in the appropriate thread's "Add Your Message Here" box, or instead write it somewhere else and then try to copy and paste.

Furthermore, it is not always or only in the Trip Report section that it happens.

The spell checker on the Google toolbar works great.

The only problem that I first ran into is that it appears to NOT be working if there are no errors.

"the spell check feature doesn't work too well on this"
For this forum and for other sites I post to, I first write long reports in Word (or other word processing program with a spell checker), then cut and paste. This also solves the problem of internet crashes part way through a lengthly post. Very aggravating when that happens.

I hope this helps others.

I just wanted to see how this field is working for trip reports. I would like to be able to write an actual trip report sometime.

What are some of the possible future destinations? Andrews AFB, Hickam AFB, Ramstein AFB, North Island NAS, South Pole, Japan, Azores, Korea, Iceland and more.

If I save my vacatoin for a long time and do my homework that will help.

Zum buddy really please pinch me and see if I can get this posted without any errors. How long does it have to be? One page, two pages, maybe even three pages long to get enough information to make it crash? Crashing is something that nobody wants to hear about especially in this forum.

Many people like to use this formum to share information about their trips and to read more about the trips others have made to help them plan. Planning is the key to a successful trip. No matter if you are going to the corner store or halfway around the world.

Trip reports are a great way to learn about successful trips that others have made, what worked and what didn't. When combined with the Flight Schedule and Last Category Moved thread, a great deal of information can be collected to help trip planning.

Planning, checking, calculating, figuring, thinking, asking, wondering. There are a number of different restaurants you can go to on your trip such as: Red Barn, Arbys, Wendys, Hooters, Zaxbys, McDonalds, KFC, Miami Subs Grill, The Loop Pizza Grill, Carrabaa, Fish & Chips, Applebees, The Fried Onion Grill, Harrys Hot Dogs, Bannana Joe's Grill, Fish-r-us, Hot Dog City, Fred's Franks, Hillbilly Joe's, Sonic, The Sub Stop, Beer Palace, Henry's Hot Hamburgers, Lubi's, Chili's, Red Lobster, Chick Filet, Friday's, Dave and Busters, The NCO Club, The Hot Dog Guy and many more.

There are a number of aircraft that fly in the sky, 727, 747, 777, C-5, C-17, C-141, C-12, C-21, C-48, B-2, B-54 and many more.
