The first time, November, we couldn't get a room in the new KMCC but did have one for the base. In December I telephoned the night before and did lock in a room for one night in the KMCC which is all I needed. Fast forward to the present. Last week I could only get a room at Vogelweh. I now have a room on Ramstein for three nights starting tomorrow over near the library as KMCC was filled. As a footnote I was with my wife in November and December while this trip I'm by myself. That makes a difference as a single it's okay to share a head. In December we did get a room in the KMCC which made my wife very happy. Personally, I prefer one of the other buildings as they're more conveniet to the gym, Woodlawn golf course, Deuthsches Haus, etc if you don't have a car.   Jack T. When we got there it was still full so we called Spandahlem (hour away), rented a car at the new building and got a nice suite at Spang. Before leaving Spang we called Ramstein and reserved a two-bed room in the new building and managed to stay there from Sunday through Friday. Lodging at the new complex was more difficult to obtain but there was plenty of lodging at the other facilities on Ramstein but not at the new complex. They have a lot of no-shows and a lot of lodging does open up at the new complex but you must wait until later in the afternoon for it. The clerks at the hotel will assist if you approach them with the right attitude.
