You will also note the food in the dining hall sometimes leaves a bit to be desired, espcially in the morning. As a cheap alternative, go out the gate, turn left one mile to the golf course on right. Excellent breakfasts and lunch. |

We stayed in KMC last summer. Did not see a single bug. It is quite high altitude, and seamed fairly arid. Warning: Food prices are extrodinarily high at their local store. The restaraunt is limited. A packed cooler, specially for a larger family, is a great idea! |

No bugs when we stayed there three years ago. Would think the altitude would kill them :-) |

Bugs? Bugs? I live here. I thought they were birds. |

Cockroaches are the national bugs of Hawaii. They are everywhere. |

Has KMC cleaned up their act? It was infested with cock roaches the last time I stayed there. |

Yesterday I called to ask if they'd have space for us for a couple of nights between 23 and 27 January. They had all classes of lodging available on all of those nights. Sounds like a slack period. 1-808-967-7315 We also got a good deal on a rental car through (as opposed to "from") Discount Hawaii Car Rental, $69.35 for two days. www.DiscountHawaiiCarRental.com |
