Kelly Hotel can be tight with Africa Cmd. transits. Patch better, but requires a car. Hotels sometime allow a 7 day advance booking. Army Lodging web site: http://new.armymwr.com/travel/lodging/default.aspx |

Gary, we have stayed at the Kelly Hotel several times and agree with Stephen about recep desk. Very nice and have internet in the rooms, or have computers to use in the lobby. Seems to me we paid about $75 per nite. |

My wife and I stayed in the Swabian Inn at Patch Barracks in Nov 2009. Lots of history on that base since it's an old German base built in 1934. About 75% of the buildings on base are original, just updated. We were happy with our stay there, just not to happy with the appx $100 per night charge. (I think it was either $93 or $96, not sure) We were allowed to eat dinner in the DF but noted a sign as we left that they wouldn't be serving any more evening meals there. I'm not sure what the status is now. |

My preferences are in the following order: Kelly Hotel, Swabian Inn, then Hilltop Hotel. Kelley reception desk is superior. This link will give you additional info: http://www.stuttgart.army.mil/sites/about/lodging.asp |

Has anyone ever used the space-a lodging in Stuttgart. We are traveling there the first week of April and hope to find a room in one of their 3 hotels. |
