Lew: I tred replying to your personal email this morning but it bounced back. Following is my reply: Lew: Glad to throw you a helping rope/line. I never rappelled from a line, however. Did many times from a rope. Glad to see I won that bet about you traveling again. Hope you and Bonnie have a great 64th in Germany. I'll be heading to Reno in early April to check out the hotel we will be using for our conference later this year. The number you want in New Orleans is 504.678.2252/2220. This is the Navy Gateway Inn and Suites. There is also a Navy Lodge at the NSA as well. As you probably know the NSA is very close to the Ferry that goes over to New Orleans. By close I mean about 2 miles but through "Indian country." Either drive or take a taxi. The NAS is much further out. Even though Katrina dropped a lot of water on the Gateway Inn it is still a very nice place to stay. Best...Jack |
