Forgot to mention also, that the bus I'm talking about is the same commercial bus that rides from Dover City (Water Street) to Dover AFB; first stop is at the Eagle's Rest Inn, then continues on the BX and finally to the Terminal. But as I mentioned you can get on at lodging and ride it to the Terminal for $1.00. Happy travels! |

Perhaps, I missed mentioning that the bus only rides from lodging to the Terminal during the day on weekdays; doesn't ride from the Terminal to lodging. You could take it from the Terminal to the main gate and walk from there to the Inn. To answer Phyllis' comment, I would walk the distance from lodging to the Terminal and viceversa without problems, but not when I'm carrying a large size bag and a laptop, and it's cold. Also Phyllis, I never had problems with carrying my luggage on the bus. It could be a problem if the bus is full, but my experience has been that the bus has always been almost empty. Happy travels! |

Tony said: "Usually, a cab ride from Eagles Rest Inn to the Terminal could cost you between $15 and $20, depending on the cab company." That much money...really?? Isn't that a distance of one to one and a half miles tops? I've never taken this cab ride but that seems awfully expensive for such a short ride. I'll think I'd walk it if I couldn't get the bus. _ |

Tony we walk most of the time, but just in case, can you take your bags on the bus? |

And another good thing is that the commercial bus coming from town (Dover City) stops there on week days and you can take it to the Terminal for $1.00. Usually, a cab ride from Eagles Rest Inn to the Terminal could cost you between $15 and $20, depending on the cab company. Happy travels! |
