We stayed on base at the Casa Tuscana. We got a suite with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, living room, kitchen; VERY NICE. I forget the cost, maybe $100.00 / night and worth every penny. The facility is small and fills quickly in the summer due to the very close proximity to the ocean, so book as early as possible. Dining is EXTREMELY LIMITED, on post. Very adequate cabins with shower, 2 beds, micro, coffeepot. We didn't spend much time in room as we were out and about during the day visiting different towns in that area, all within an hours drive like Sienna, Gimignano, Lucca, Florence, Volterra. I think it was $60/night. Very quiet and easy to get to main roads from there. ITT office is there which you can use for tours or for info. This is my plan B & C concerning my lodging when my family and I go to see Italy which I believe is in the Tuscan area near Livonro, Pisa and the surrounding town. I am specifically looking for hotels that someone has stayed and would recommend. I have used most if not all the search engines available.
