Oldtimer, we had that happen here at Wallmart near beach. Two motorhomes pulled in setup camp with grills and chairs for a week. When they left they put up sign no RV overnite parking. A few always ruin it for the rest of us. Roger in Fl |

Roger, RV parking in the long term parking lot on Norfolk NAS is great while waiting on a flight and you can leave RV there while on a hop. Of course let PAX rep know you put RV in the long term overflow lot. As long as it does not turn out to become a RV campground with people BBQing, chairs out, generators out and so on, should not be a problem with terminal or police. We kept a low profile while in the long term lot in our RV. Basically used it to sleep at night, eat breakfast and that was about it. But with all good things, someone will ruin it by making it their long term home for the summer. Enjoy your trip. Best of wishes. |

David, my wife was ill and we did not make the BFB but I did go alone the week after as they had a flight from MacDill direct that I caught. Oldtimer, thanks for the info if we could stay at Norfolk in longterm that would be great, will check that out. If wife can get doctor ok we are hoping to head to Souda for couple weeks or Rota. Roger, as others told you, Ft Story, Ft Monroe, Dam Neck and Little Creek. Also Cheatham Annex and Langely. But Cheatham and Langley are further north up I64. Fort Monroe used to let you leave your RV there while you were travelling. In their overflow area. But, you sound like you want Little Creek. If you have a RV, you can park it in the overflow space-a lot on Norfolk NAS. I spent a few nights in my rig in the over flow parking lot on Norfolk NAS while waiting on the Rota flight. The overflow lot is down the street from the "new" terminal. Located across the street from where the old terminal was. If you have RV, best to make reservation at RV parks in that area. |

Roger, Missed you at the BFB this year. Funny this should come up. We are going to try the same thing at McCord next week. Let us know how it works out. David & Audrey |

I just went to their website and guess they upgraded as they now have sewer connections. This would be nice as I would have home to go back to if no seats. Thanks again Don and John. Roger in Fl |

Leave the keys under the mat, if I get back to Ole Virginia, I will crank it up for you....The place at Lt Creek is very nice. I had some friends who "lived" there in their home. |

Thanks Don. I guess Little Creek may be best bet since we don't have to cross the bridge. I will call them and see if parking is also available while we are gone. Roger in Fl |

Roger, from looking at the list that John D put here, The one you will find close is at Cape Henry, at Ft Story. There are places at Lt Creek as well. Don't know about Norfolk. I have seen the other two. From Lt Creek to Norfolk AS it is 13.5 miles, can make it in about 25 minutes. Ft. Story add about 5 miles. I would use Lt Creek if I were you, at least you have a Commissary and BX. Not much to offer at Ft Story. |

Roger, Based on the map I'd say Ft Story/Cape Henry - approx 15-20 miles. |
