We traveled to Prague several months ago and stayed at The Bishop's House hotel. It is literally steps from the Charles Bridge, was clean and served a nice breakfast each morning.

The US Embassy apartments in Prague are a little pricy compared to other lodging in the city. Check out hotels.com or booking.com and you should be able to find a ton of inexpensive options. I have paid as low as about $35 per day on the economy in Prague. I have stayed at CityClub Prague, Clarion Congress Hotel, and Best Western Hotel Pav. Stay anywhere close to a METRO station and get the tourist pass!

The U.S. Embassy in Prague makes reservations for the apartments available for the current month, and 2 months ahead. About a week ago, the month of June was put up (and I jumped on it right away -- we have our reservation set).

Go to http://www.aepca.com to see the matrix (click on the "Occupancy" tab).

Karen,

There are apartments available though the US Embassy (link with info available from the Spacea.net travel section on Czech Republic. I suspect these may be hard to book for summer.

We have stayed several times in the Maximilian and have been very happy with hotel and location (booked through booking.com).

Active Duty husband has chance to travel to Prague from Travis this summer. Dependant wife (me) and two daughters (ages 13,12) can come along at our own expense. Any lodging (or other) suggestions?
