My wife and stayed there about a year ago or so. They're called Heritage Cottages. The cost then, was $64.00 a night. It was fairly new and had two bedrooms, bath, full kitchen, two rather large tv's and a lanai off the back that was on the golf course. Our first night there, two deer walked up to the lanai. It also has a combination washer/dryer. It's right across from the hospital, if you want to grab a meal there. We did eat in the galley and had no trouble. All-in-all, it was a great place for a vacation. One other place that I liked in the area was Mayport NB. Pelican Roost is the RV site and they have MWR trailers that are set up on site and the cost was $25.00 a night. When we were there, they had two set up and three that could be set up. I do believe you may be able to catch a flight out of Mayport Air Terminal. I didn't look into it too much though. JOHN . . . Mesquite, Nevada |

Have used them several times. Great value. Here's a link which will provide you a lot of good info on them. They are basically across the street from the Naval Hospital there. (Note: The link seems to put in a space between the "t" and "m" in "htm". I can't find a way to fix that. https://www.cnic.navy.mil/jacksonville/FamilyReadiness/Command/Cottages/index.ht m |

I have seen them and they seemed reasonably priced. I think they are reserved through the Gateway Inn at NAS Jax. I have asked about them 2 times but they have been reserved. Very convenient for people at the Hospital |

Does anyone know anything about the cabins across from the golf course at JAX? |
