We live in St Petersburg FL and drove to Homestead on Thursday afternoon. Stayed at Homestead ARB and then drove on down to Key West on Friday. I had made reservations the week before at both places. Our Homestead rooms (my 17 y/o son had one room next to ours) was nice but the suite we had in KW was wonderful ($70 per night). It had LR, BR, kitchen, nice closet space with a safe. The staff at the Inn was great. They brought in a roll-away for my son. The Inn is about 5-6 blocks from Duval St near Mallory Square. It was a nice easy walk from the base to Duval. We rented kayaks from the Navy base also for $5 each ($20 from the civilian vendors). We had a great weekend.
