Much depends on their launch schedule. Here is a link to their schedule:

http://www.spacearchive.info/vafbsked.htm

Also, there is a box on the VAFB home page:

http://www.vandenberg.af.mil/

We were able to obtain a TLF apartment overnight, even though a launch was scheduled the following morning (it went, but the clouds were so low, that all we could do was listen to it -- it was invisible to us).

Also, there are schools on base, that will take up rooms at the AF Inn.

Carole gives the best advice: call the front desk, and ask how far in advance they'll make a reservation (it varies), and whether they project availability when you want to stay there.

You can call the billeting office at Vandenberg to obtain that information. Check the Space A pages at the top of this page.

Is billeting at Vandenberg hard to get?
We are looking at the end of June.
