ThAT made us glad to be in the old rooms! We talked to someone who said their lamp did not work in the new room and then they realized there were no light bulbs!!!!! The lodging ph # is 301-981-4614. We have a room for tonight, but not after that. Space was tight. We were told we would probably be at the new lodge, but would find out for sure at check-in. So, for now, the Inn rates are not known. However, Andrews AFB's listing shows VOQ rooms @ $39/night and VAQ rooms @ $34.75/night. Now these are indeed bargain rates for the DC area! Once opened there will be no Navy lodging (the brick building across street from PX area). And, all the smaller one story quad buildings (that are close to the office now) will be torn down. They are debating what to do with the (two story?) lodging building that is adjacent to the old O'club area. The new facility will be very nice. The agent said to call back the 1st wk in June when they start booking for the brand new facility. I must be the only one who didn't know they were building a new billiting facility. Good news. Hope this helps the availability problems on base.
