I reserved 7 nights at Whidbey with no problem. I checked out after 5 days and asked what their lodging census was and the clerk said that they had 175 rooms empty. Before I left Whidbey I called McChord and had no problem obtaining a suite. By the way, McChord allows retirees to eat all meals in the base Dining Hall But NO dependents. I would have eaten there but won't go w/o the wife, they should have allowed a retiree with one dependent to avoid abuse but as usual, they failed to ask me before deciding. Also, I snagged a room atFt Hood TX for Sunday night. |
