The National Naval Aviation Museum is right across the street. Short Walk.... There is a place to eat inside, the Old Cubi Point Bar was reconstructed there. Enjoy. My Daughter's Wedding was held on the beach near the Cottages an CPO CLUB..... |

If you are going--hurry. I am so afraid the greatest family camp of all naval installations is going to drown in oil. If you are a swimmer or a floater you will love it. The beach is just right there at the cabins, but the view is not spectacular. The museum is across the street-down away. You could walk, but it would be hot this time of year. In other words you'd be soaking wet when you arrived. On base is a food court at the annex and the golf course has a good breakfast. Cars are necessary to get to both. Almost forgot there is also a marina close to the cabins/rv park. The Chief's Club is also next door to the park, but on limited hours. Elaine Elaine |

I didn't stay at the cottages. I stayed at the campground right next door. But, if I remember correctly, there is nothing between the cottages and the water but sand. |

You really can not see the beach from the cottages, but you only have a short walk to the beach. With regards to the museum, it is quite a walk to anywhere from the cottages. I am not sure if a bus comes by the campgrounds. If I were you I would give them a call and find out. Hope this helped you. |

Can anyone provide info about their experience with the facilities/amenities? The cottages look good in the photos. Can you see the beach from the deck of the 1 bdrm? I will be on my own during the day without a car. The website says the camp is within walking distance of the museum. Is there access to anything else? |
