Stayed last night at Offutt AFB lodging using a reservation I made about a month ago. We've stayed there several times so no surprises. A suite in the Malmstrom Inn (same bldg as lodging office) was clean, comfortable, and cost $48.25. There was a sign in the lodging office announcing that a certain group of taxi's can now come on/off base. Not sure if there is wireless internet, but the business center on the second floor has six computers for guest use. And the honor bar offered some good prices on drinks, etc...$1.50 for a beer. Also ate at the Ronald L. King Dining Facility this morning for breakfast (they call it brunch on weekends). Cost for wife and me was exactly $5.00 including surcharge, and we ate all we wanted and more than we needed. This chow hall was awarded the Hennessy Trophy for Excellence this past year. The civilian worker (cashier) and Airman behind the grill were both extremely pleasant and professional. And the food was very good. And retiree's are welcome anytime! |
