Thanks Jan for your concern. Before I reserved,I checked the location and found it was just a few blocks south of 520 on A1A The addy is 3901 N. I made sure I reserved for the park & ride...PCRUIS Rate - This rate is not eligible for Choice Privileges points. A little more information: I didn't want to belabor the point, but if you read the forums on Cruise Critic you would see that it can be confusing dealing with these 2 hotels just because their names are so similar. Several people have arrived at one, when their reservations were at the other. |

I just want to make sure you don't make a mistake about this. Country Inn & Suites is in Cape Canaveral, FL, close to the ships. Comfort Inn & Suites is in Cocoa Beach, FL, further south. |

Pass along info: Comfort Inn & Suites had best deal in quality and price. $89 (2 ppl) and the park/ride is free for 2 -- $5 pp beyond that. Holiday Inn was $118.. Fawlty Towers $107 |

Sorry, I didn't mention letting the front desk know about needing a ride to the pier as Cherry mentioned. After letting them know, the front desk will tell you shuttle time, where to meet and where to park your car while you are gone. Make sure you get the phone number of the motel/shuttle service for your ride back to where your car is parked after the cruise. |

Another tip: besides booking the motel/hotel asap when you are going on a cruise, be sure to tell them when you check in that you will need a ride to the pier the next morning. We didn't realize how popular that shuttle service would be, and almost didn't get the ride we needed, because we had failed to sign up as soon as we arrived the previous afternoon. |

Howard - Country Inn & Suites is the one we like the best. We have also stayed at the Radisson. There are quite a few motels in the area that will let you park your car and shuttle you to the docks if you spend the night before the cruise. Google motels with cruise parking in the Coco Beach/Port Canaveral area for a wide choice of places. It really boils down to what is available and what is acceptable to you. If you have a cruise date, make your motels reservation ASAP as folks book rooms well in advance of their up-coming cruise. Sometimes as much as a year in advance. Good luck. |

We have friends who stayed at the Radisson also. It is the closest to the ships and I think from some areas around the pool, and from the top rooms on the north, you can actually see them in port. Country Inn and Suites is next closest and it has a free shuttle too, at least it used to. When we were there we stayed at Patrick AFB but we had a rental car, Thrifty I think it was, and returned it the morning of the cruise to their office just south of the Radisson and they had a shuttle to the ships. If you get there in time for dinner the night before, try eating at Fish Lips, right on the water. If any ships leave or enter port while you are there they go right by it. |

Last March, we stayed at Radisson Resort at the Port. They had a free shuttle and allowed for us to leave our vehicle there while on the cruise. It was very convenient. Room also had free wi-fi. |

Doing a cruise Nov 31. I remember a few months ago.. someone naming a few motels in Cocoa area that had free shuttles to the Port. I cannot find these in my searches and doing expedia motel searches does not list "free parking or shuttle service. Anyone know a motel that still does this ? We are spending the previous nite over there anyway so saving the park fee is good. I do have a handicapp tag but my vehicle is not special equipped to get Fl free parking. thanks for any help ..howard |
