If anyone is going to Russia (St.Pet.) give me a call and I'll give you all the info on NOT needing a VISA ($409.00 for 2 people) and getting your own tour guide. You don't need to get the tours off the ship. call me at 562-592-4127 or email: czeezo@gmail.com or just check: Off Topics Forum |

Larry: You will need to send/take your passport to the Russian Embassy or a Russian Consulate. Here's a site that walks you through the steps; http://russianvisa.org/howto.html Happy Travels, John |

We have been told that we will need to get a VISA for us to just walk around (on our own) in Russia. How and where do you get one? If you take a tour off the ship (with a ships tour guide) they will get the VISA for you. But their tours are very costly and with the 4 of us - we can get a cab for about 1/3rd of the cost. Just to rent a bike for the day is $90 - for that I could buy one and give it to some kid as we leave town. |
