Czeezo your experience parallels ours. We sailed on the Norwegian Dream but it might as well been called the Norwegian Nightmare. Last minute notification of schedule changes even though they knew well in advance, incredibly inept embarkation--it took us hours and hours to board, ship not clean, staff surly and unknowledgeable. I could go on and on.
We particularly like to sail on Celebrity and we are booked on a trans canal South American cruise next December on the Celebrity Infinity.

I have been on a lot of Cruise ships over the years and this last one thru So. America was the pits.
They added $24.00 per day on the bill for tips.

But I had them cancel part of the $24 and give out money to the people that busted their butt for us.

Room stewards were great (gave them an extra $40.00) and then did magic trick where I produce $1.00 bills and gave a lot of them out for tips after I did the trick with the money.

With this new program of "open sitting" - it is hard to get the really great service we received when we had assigned seating. Why should they bust their butts when they know that everyone is putting in $24 each day for tips.
The buffet was almost the very same thing each day!
It was hard to get ice tea or milk at the beginning of each meal. The last breakfast I had to ask 3 times to get a glass of milk and by the time it came - my breakfast was over and I didn't want it.

Now the bad part of the story is that we pick up the NCL Sun in Aug. 2010 in England to go to Russia. But it will be the very last time that I will ever - ever take the NCL Sun again.
