Which location do you have the best chance of getting to Hawaii?

10 Cat VI were chosen for the 1145 roll call.

With boarding passes in hand, Sandi and Phil await our chariot (KC-135) in the Travis departure lounge. Our friends and we were numbers 1-4 called.

Praying that all goes well, we will be in Hawaii in a few hours.

See ya in the BFB.

Sandi and I were the last two called for the 0900 roll call.

We declined the flight because our friends didn't make it. We had the same sign-up date.

Oh well, there is another roll call in two hours and the airman said that, baring any higher cats showing, we will be at the top of a 10 seat call.

We're at Travis for a 0900 roll call. About 100 Cat VI in the terminal. The plane is listing 23 seats.

Elaine,

As an answer to your post: "Phil, For a perspective on how things are moving out of Travis, why don't you look at the Last Category Moved Forum???".

I did and that is why I thanked Rich in my last post.

See Rich's response to my question.

I'm afraid that it is about Travis (as far as I'm concerned).

Those of us who live nearer to the West coast than any other terminal flying to Hawaii are interested in Travis. Why? Because the "Crystal Ball" is showing most flights from Travis during the time period (I see as feasible) to get to the BFB get-together.

We (my group) are not interested in commercial. This is a Spat get together so if we don't get there, it is because we could not "Space A" there. So that was why I asked about how the terminal was clearing.

Thanks for your help, Rich. Sage advice.

Don't rule out Hawaiian Airlines either. Right now you can get a one way from SEATAC or Portland to Honolulu for $130 and from Oakland or SFO it is $164 the week of the 25th.

This is not about Travis, but is about flights going to BFB. Kelly had one today that left with empty seats. I talk to one of the guys in the terminal and there is another on in a couple weeks.

There were 3 flights scheduled today and 1 tomorrow. Does anyone know how the terminal is clearing? Those of us who will be trying for Hickam soon are interested.
