Hey, Ed, did you hit the lottery? Seabourn is one of the priciest cruise lines in the business! |

James, we were with Lois and her husband last spring in Spain. One thing to be careful of are the pick pockets. We didn't have a problem, but another couple did. The best way to see the city is with the double decker bus. They have three different color buses, each one has a different route. It is a wonderful city with many different things. We also used the subway, with out to much trouble. |

Hi Guy: Bon Voyage, will be headed east from Miami to Barcelona on 19 Feb On the JADE. Let me know any problems you encounter and scoop on the city. I and 3 70ish ladies plan a week there. Send 2 ladies home from there and my wife and I go to GFR, France and Brussels then Ramstein and home to FL. |

If you haven't been to Barcelona I would say definitely spend a couple of days there. There is a lot to see. We were there in the spring for 4 days and really enjoyed it. We are only spending the night before our cruise this time. Plan to spend a few days in Rota and Portugal before we go to Barcelona. There are several places to check for hotels. TripAdvisor, Travelocity, etc. |

Lois, Thanks for the Clickair tip. What accommodations do you have set up for Barcelona. One thought I have is to spend a day or so there before the cruise. |

We are going to take an RCCL cruise Dec. 8 Barcelona to Galveston. We are flying Click Air from Jerez to Barcelona. It was 30 euros each. You would have to check the date you want because the price is different for different days. |

Search reveals enough info to assure me that Rota to Barcelona is easy to do. 1st class Train ($150 usd) or plane (<$100) from Jerez de la Fronterra. Either can even be booked on line if you can guess a date or catch an early hop and hang out in Spain for a while. I'm getting real itchy to do it. JohnAC, thanks for the heads up on this cruise. It'll be a great birthday present for my wife. |

Thinking real serious abt booking. Has anybody worked out a potential itinery for getting to Barcelona? The first part, CHS to Rota, seems obvious but Rota to Barcelona is uncharted territory for me. I've checked the N. Atlantic Pilot Charts for Nov/Dec and the likely weather/sea conditions are: Air temp 68-70F dropping to 50F last 24hrs, seas 4ft or less most the way with 10% chance of 12ft last 24hrs of trip. With cruise ship policy being to choose the least bumpy road it should be a pleasant voyage with a little seafaring spice at the end. |

Eileen, would you please send me a private email? I sent one to you, but it may have ended up in your Spam folder. |

We were wondering if anyone on the board is scheduled to take this cruise. We could not believe the price and on a brand new ship. We have booked it and would love to meet someone from this board on this cruise. Eileen |

Travelocity is showing it for $299.00 inside and $399.00 for an oceanview. Just do a search for Transatlantic, 9 days from Barcelona. It is the Norwegian Gem. |

Could someone tell me where to get information on such a cruise? I found nothing about it on the Bestfare website. |

John: At $299 for inside who cares if Boston or Miami. It sounds like a great deal. Thank you for the info. |

Bestfares.com just sent me an email and NCL has a nine day cruise from Barcelona to Miami departing the 3rd of Dec for $299.00 inside. That is cheap! I think it's a new ship the Gem I believe. If we didn't already have a cruise scheduled and Thanksgiving and Christmas were nothing but memories..... |
