Larry,

My husband and I were on the same cruise with John and his wife. We spent one night at a new hotel in central Copenhagen called the Cabinn City Hotel. It is very near the train station (within walking distance). It is a budget hotel. The rooms are smaller than the rooms on the cruise ship. There were several couples from our cruise staying at the same hotel. It was sold out the night we were there.
Hotels in Copenhagen are very expensive. We paid about $133 (665 Danish DKK). The hotel was clean, well run, and adequate for our needs, however, the rooms were extremely small. The next day we walked about a block and a half to the train station for transportation to the pier. It was only a few stops to the pier. From there we walked directly to the ship. About a ten minute walk. Hope you have a good trip.

I did not. We arrived Copenhagen about 1300 for a 1700 sailing. Sorry. Other couples did and they may chime in and give you their recommendations.

John,
Did you spend a night in Copenhagen and have a recommendation on where to stay?

Thanks John. If you have any other suggestions for us please feel free to let us know. I'll check the BerlinAir fares.
Where did the ship reposition to?
Regards,
Larry (Mac)

Larry:

Wife and I took a repositioning cruise out of Copenhagen last Sept. We flew BerlinAir from Frankfurt to Berlin, change planes and on to Copenhagen. Public trans will take you within a few blocks of the Ship from the Airport. At that time, the plane was much cheaper/faster than taking a train. Also, Denmark doesn't use the Euro, but you can change money at the airport (to Kroners) or most taxis/etc take Euros.

Happy Travels, John

What do you guys suggest for transportation from Ramstein to Copenhagen Denmark. We are taking a 12 day Holland American Cruise on the Rotterdam VI on 12 June which leaves from Copenhagen and Returns to Rotterdam, Netherlands. Rent a car 1 way? Fly? Train? Any help will be appreciated.
