We cruise from Baltimore 2 years ago, Royal Caribbean to Bermuda. No problems at all we flew in the night before from Connecticut on Southwest and took a taxi the next morning to the cruise terminal. There was plenty of parking for those who drove their own car. The neat part was that we called the pier the morning of the sailing and the ship had been cleared for boarding two hours before hand. We went straight there and were some of the first passengers to board. It was great.

I haven't cruised from Baltimore, but we did cruise from Philly last year. I looked at Baltimore and my concern was the length of time in the Chesapeake. If you leave from Norfolk you get to spend more time in your destination because it seems to save about 12 hours of sailing time (roundtrip). All other things being equal, I think I would chose to cruise from Norfolk. Of course, the cruises from the two are not identical, so you pays your money and takes your chances.

I just recently read that Carnival was going to start cruising from Baltimore this summer, not sure when, but you might check the Carnival site.

I read a recent article talking about Baltimore creating a new passenger terminal for cruise lines. The point was they are trying to increase the number of cruises that depart from 'Bahlmur.' Does anybody have any experience with this? I am interested because I live close, but others might be interested due to proximity to BWI, Andrews, Dover, etc.
